Welcome to the Whitby Courthouse Theatre – Youth Group. Our stage is set for another great season. Our goal is to create a fully integrated theatre experience for our youth between the ages of 8 and 16.
We provide an opportunity to cultivate and develop creative skills in a safe, friendly environment. Our program offers a wide range of theatre experiences.
Workshops are conducted with the group participants from September through December and focus on a wide range of disciplines covering both acting and technical themes. As the spring approaches, focus turns to preparations for our annual Youth Group Performance (in June), which provides cast and crew opportunities for all the group members to participate in.

Hello Parents and Youth and WELCOME! We are excited about this season for the Whitby Courthouse Theatre Youth Group! Here is some information which you will need to ensure your child is registered.
Everyone MUST pre-register to audition for the Youth Group by September 26, 2009.
Applications can be submitted via email to: youthgroup@whitby theatre.org or dropped off at the WCT on Saturday, September 19th from 9:30 am – 11:00 am.
Auditions will take place on Sunday, October 4th, 2009 beginning at 2:00 pm in the Theatre in the Whitby Centennial Building. Your audition time will be emailed to you. Each participant is required to have prepared one song, please ensure the song is age appropriate and shows your vocal range.
Each participant is required to bring their own sheet music for the pianist to accompany you (pianist will be provided) or background vocals on a cd. Each participant is required to have a ONE minute monologue prepared that would show-case your acting ability.
All Applicants must be at least 9 years of age by December 31, 2009 and no older than 17 years of age by December 31, 2009.
